Passive cooling system provides a low cost means of keeping cool in the summer. Affordable to operate, it’s also reasonably simple to install. Some people use this method exclusively to cool their homes.

The ducts can be a part of your standard heat and air ductwork, or separate, however, the layout is the same, with vents located against the walls in the rooms you want to cool. Locate the vents in the floor or ceiling
Point of entry should be filtered, and easy to access. Vents should be operable, as well as the point of entry, or capped to close keep cold air from entering the channel in colder seasons
An electric powered, or solar powered fan is used for pulling air into and through the house
