Plot Plan, also known as land usage plan
Plot Plan is required for a home building permit. A plot plan is a plan showing the outline of the home you’re going to build, where and how it sits on the building site. If you purchase a stock plan plan online, you won’t receive this sheet in the set of construction documents. A plat of the property you’re building on is required to create a plot plan. The plat shows the meets and bounds, or property lines, as well as the drive way, and connecting streets. The north arrow is also shown on the plat; pointing upward
The image you see showing the outline of the home, is called a plot plan. The city or county wants to make certain your home will be built within the boundaries established. All of our plans include this sheet in the overall plan package, however, we’ll be happy to produce one for you if your package doesn’t include one
Land plans are really just a plot plan, that show the landscaping, such as gardens, trees, retaining walls, paths or patios. We include general land planning on our plot plans, however, there are some people that specialize in the field if the budget allows
Standard fee for standard lot is $500, however, if your building site is large or has a sloped terrain, the cost may be more
