Plot Plan, also known as land usage plan
Plot Plan is required for home building permit. A plot plan is a plan showing the outline of the home you’re going to build, and how it sits on the building site. If you purchase a stock plan plan online, you won’t receive this sheet in the set of construction documents. A plat of the property you’re building on is required to create a plot plan. The plat shows the meets and bounds, or property lines, as well as connecting streets. The north arrow is always shown on the plat; pointing upward
The image you see showing the outline of the home, is called a plot plan. The city or county wants to make certain your home will be built within the boundaries established
Standard fee for standard lot is $500, however, if your building site is large or has a sloped terrain, the cost may be more
