Italian house plans

Italian house plans may have a broad range of style in Italy, but in America, we have a limited perspective of the design. When we think of an Italian villa, we imagine stucco exterior walls, and a simple roof line, like the old Italian homes

Most were two or three stories with shuttered windows and flower boxes. The roof pitch low with a simple gable end

Here in the states, we spice it up a bit with heavy wood trim, and often raise the roof and hip it, however, that’ not Italian. If you’ve ever been to Tuscany, the structures are simple, and look similar in style. My guess is, there was only one or two builders, and not a lot of money to invest in building a home

This doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun with your idea of an Italian home design. You’re not in Tuscany, however, you can still enjoy sitting on the veranda, sipping a glass of wine
